When backtesting trading strategies, you can’t be sure how the strategy truly performs unless you have great modelling quality. Modelling quality is given as a percentage of the quality of ticks modelled during a backtest. Modelling is shown elementarily as a band in the report. The band can be one of three colors; grey, red or green.
Grey is the part of available data that was not involved in testing, red is the part of missing data of a less timeframe that was not involved in testing and green is the part of used data, it represents the quality of a backtest. Not only is there green but also different shades of green, the brighter the color, the higher the modelling quality is. For example, if you were testing for the H1 timeframe, a dark-green band would mean that data from the M30 timeframe was used for testing and if it were brighter, it would mean that data from the M1 timeframe was used.
